Well my father wasn't a violent criminal but an army drill seargant type who ruled the house by fear. His rage and anger drained the life out of everyone around him. Really messes up a person's head to think that is normal. No rebelling in that household, not when I was around. That contributed to a bad pattern in choosing a mate. Except with me I didn't get the beautiful crazy women. I got the average to below average looking crazy ones. Ended up married to one who was an untreated schizophrenic. Oh joy oh joy. It was a real eye opener when I stepped back and saw the pattern, the similarities in the women I've been with. Now in my 50's I wonder sometimes if I'll ever get the one for me. I'm not asking for Brooke Shields or Charlize Theron beauties. But something easy on the eyes would be nice, something to stimulate long pent up desires.
You see this is one reason why older men will go for younger women. We've seen the mistakes we've made. But we refuse to let that define our entire life. Some of us want our do-over, and a younger woman allows us to do that. There's something to be said about dating within your own age group. Similar life experiences and outlook on life can help a relationship. But a May-December romance can add a certain spice to life never before experienced.
