"Evolutionary Psychologists tell us that us that during ovulation women are driven to seek out other partners, rather than their husband,"
The so called "science" on this is shaky.
Just because someone gets horny every so often doesn't give them a license to cheat on anybody. Those people have some underlying issues in their relationship and they don't want to bother working that out so they go get their itch scratched elsewhere. Simple as that. People are not any more "hard wired" for infidelity than they are to steal, kill, or do other things that they know they should not do.
The getting horny around ovulation time simply means that a female is more arousable when she is most fertile. This part of it makes biological sense, but trying to read more into it than there is and attempting to give cheaters an easy hand waving explanation to assauge them of the guilt and responsibility to their relationships and marriages is just low. Nowhere written into our DNA is the mandate to make relationships with one person and turn around and betray our partner with another person. That is bullshit that WE introduce into the equation, the same way that people plagarize or cheat on exams, they do it because they can't cut it otherwise, because they're a sorry excuse for a person and they know it. Then when caught, here comes the excuse making, blaming the betrayed partner, and even blaming the DNA....and to boot cosigning with the snake-in-the-grass "psychologists" who make up alibies for them.
